Radoslovich, Thomassian Named To League's All-Academic Team

WAKEFIELD, MA--Matt Radoslovich and Eric Thomassian have been named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team as a result of their performances in the classroom during the 2004-05 academic year.
To be named to the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must achieve an academic average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which he was actively competing.
Radoslovich ( Wanaque, NJ) had a 3.43 during the fall semester and followed that with a 3.2 average during the spring. Radoslovich, who received his degree in psychology in May, has been on the All-Academic Team three times and graduated with a 3.27 average.
Thomassian ( Rye, NY), who is majoring in economics, had a 3.18 in the fall and improved to 3.58 in the spring. A sophomore, he will enter his junior year next September with an overall grade point average of 3.22.
On the ice last year, Radoslovich played in all 41 games last season and finished with four goals and five assists for nine points. At the end of the season, he was presented the team's Friends/Albert Sidd Award as the Unsung Hero for the second straight year. He was also honored by the University's athletic department with the John Simpson Award. The department presents this Award to just one male and one female student-athlete each year for senior leadership.
In the meantime, Thomassian played in 20 games and had a goal and four assists for five points. What's more, he was whistled for just one penalty for two minutes.
As a team, the Terriers finished the season with an overall record of 23-14-4. Along the way, they won their 26 th Beanpot, finished second in the final Hockey East standings by just one point, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
The Terriers, with co-captains David Van der Gulik (Abbottsford, BC) and Brad Zancanaro (Trenton, MI) heading a group of 19 returning lettermen, will open their 2005-06 season on October 15 th when they host the University of Massachusetts/Lowell at Agganis Arena. Faceoff will be at 7:00 p.m.
