Boisvert Becomes 104th Terrier to Skate in NHL

PHILADELPHIA - Former Boston University men's ice hockey standout Sacha Boisvert became the 104th Terrier to play in the National Hockey League when he made his debut with the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night.

Boisvert played 9:03 against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night, skating alongside former Terriers Ryan Greene and Alex Vlasic. He is the fifth Terrier to play for Chicago this season, joining Greene, Vlasic, Drew Commesso and Matt Grzelcyk.

A native of Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Boisvert skated in 26 games for the Terriers this past season, totaling 17 points on three goals and 14 assists. He began his BU career with one goal and two assists in a 4-2 win over LIU on Oct. 4 and also notched a career-best four assists in a 5-4 victory at Merrimack on Nov. 8.

After Boisvert's debut, 24 Terriers have appeared in at least one NHL game this season. Four different Terriers have made their NHL debuts this season, including Boisvert's teammate Cole Hutson on March 18.
