
Reuter Named AE Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Senior Christina Reuter has been named America East Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. Reuter was an integral part in the Boston University women's soccer team's final two regular-season games, helping the team clinch a share of the America East regular-season crown and a No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. Reuter posted two straight shutouts against Binghamton and league-leading New Hampshire.
Reuter (Madison, Wis.) did not allow a goal in 193:44 minutes of action last week and recorded 12 saves. She made four stops in the Terriers' 2-0 win over Binghamton on Sunday and made eight saves in a scoreless deadlock with New Hampshire on Thursday.
As of Monday, Reuter ranked third nationally in save percentage (.901) and 20th in goals-against average (0.57).
The Terriers being their quest for the America East tournament championship on Sunday, Nov. 4 at Noon. BU will host the winner of the Binghamton-Hartford contest on Thursday, Nov. 1.
