Cambridge, Mass. - Highlighted by at least eight television games, head coach Dennis Wolff and the Boston University men's basketball team announced its complete 2007-08 schedule today. The Terriers will play up to 11 games on television in the upcoming season, and the schedule features two games at Agganis Arena when Atlantic 10-power Saint Joseph's and America East foe Vermont come to town on Nov. 17 and Jan. 25, respectively. The game against the Catamounts will be broadcast on ESPNU at 9 p.m.
BU starts the non-conference slate with a home contest against St. Bonaventure on Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. The Terriers follow that with three straight return games at 2007 NCAA team George Washington (Nov. 14), against St. Joe's at 7 p.m. on CN8 and Northeastern (Nov. 19). After the Thanksgiving break, BU travels to Marshall on Nov. 25 to play the Thundering Herd at 2 p.m. before continuing on to Pittsburgh on Nov. 27 to face the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.
December will be light for the Terriers as they play just five games, hosting Manhattan (Dec. 1) and Harvard (Dec. 4) at 7 p.m. before finishing up the non-conference slate on the road, with games at Yale (Dec. 11), Delaware (Dec. 22), Massachusetts (Dec. 29) and Holy Cross (Jan. 2).
Boston University opens the conference schedule at Binghamton on Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. The Terriers have three games on television in January - at Hartford at 6 p.m. on NESN (Jan. 12), Albany at home on Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. (NESN/TW-3) and Vermont. NESN will show three games in February - at New Hampshire on Feb. 2 at 4 p.m., at Vermont on Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. and against Maine at home on Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. For the first time in the history of the program, Boston University has been chosen as part of the O'Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters pool and could potentially play in a televised game on Feb. 23.
The Terriers will play in the America East tournament, which runs from March 7-15. The early rounds will be hosted by Binghamton University, with the highest remaining seed hosting the championship game on March 15, which will be broadcast on ESPN2 at noon.
