Goalkeepers Janie Reilly and Lauren Stewart shared time between the pipes. Reilly started against Northeastern and saw 25 minutes of action against BC, coming up with crucial saves while allowing one goal. Stewart was BU's starter versus Harvard and BC, allowing two goals in two games.
On Saturday the 2007 BU women's soccer team hosted its annual alumni game which turned out to be a great success for all who attended. Over 25 alumni and friends came back to campus, including former assistant coaches Krista Fulton and Jen Goff. It was the largest turnout ever for a BU alumni game. Some of the alumni included Lois Farrell, who played for the club team at BU before its inception as a varsity sport, Amy Coccaro Young, Teresa Petrucelli Weston, Megan Cross Hannon ('01) and recent alums Meghann Cook, Susan Marschall, Ashley Chassar and Melissa Shulman ('05).
The day included three round-robin games in a 7v7 format with each class representing one of the four teams. The 2007 BU soccer team was there to assist, play, and socialize with recent and past alums.
After the games, everybody enjoyed a brief reception in the new BU team room that was recently completed along with the new locker room.
Lastly, several alumni and the team headed down to Gillette Stadium to view the United States Women's National Team in action against Mexico.
