ALLSTON, Mass. - Junior Jeff Moreau of the Boston University men's track and field team won the 800-meter run at the Harvard Open on Saturday at the Gordon Track. Moreau ran a 1:54.67 to top a field of 51.
Moreau, a junior transfer running in his first indoor race for the Terriers, crossed just over two seconds ahead of runner-up Dan Darcy of Bentley. The only other BU runner competing on the men's side was senior Tom McLean, who was 17th of 31 runners in the 3,000m run, posting a 9:12.12 in a race won by Daire Bermingham of Stony Brook.
BU will next host a series of three exhibition mini meets before returning to collegiate competition when the Terriers host a multi-team meet at the Track and Tennis Center on Jan. 15.
