BOSTON - Boston University men's soccer alumnus Jarryd Goldberg signed with the Miami FC on Tuesday, April 8. The midfielder is expected to bring an immediate injection of energy to the squad.
Goldberg impressed the coaching staff during preseason drills; head coach Zinho believes the former Terrier is an excellent addition to the team.
"This is a young man who will definitely bring an impressive infusion of energy to our midfield," said Zinho. "Absolutely another great pick up for the team."
The 2007 Pan American Maccabi Games gold medalist played two years in the midfield for BU, starting every game he played. Goldberg totaled one goal and two assists in his two seasons with the Terriers, but his speed and ball control created countless scoring opportunities for BU.
Miami FC faces the Charleston Battery on Saturday, April 12 at Tropical Park Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
