
Pallotta Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District I Accolades

2009 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team
BOSTON - Senior women's soccer student-athlete Emily Pallotta has been named to the 2009 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America District I First Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America Thursday evening. With her inclusion on the first team, Pallotta is now eligible for national Academic All-America honors.
Pallotta is enrolled in the School of Management and is working towards a degree in business administration and management, where she currently boasts a 3.75 GPA. In order to be eligible for COSIDA Academic All-American status, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve, maintain a grade point average of 3.20 and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing.
Pallotta, the 2009 America East Midfielder of the Year, is second in the conference in goals (7) and tied for third in points (16). She was a first-team all-conference honoree in 2007 and a second-team choice last year and has had a banner year in 2009. With a career-best 16 points already under her belt this season, Pallotta has cracked the top ten on BU's all-time scoring list with 45 career points.
