
Pallotta Earns CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team Honors

Senior women's soccer student-athlete Emily Pallotta has been named to the 2009 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Third Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America Tuesday evening.
Pallotta is enrolled in the School of Management and is working towards a degree in business administration and management, where she currently boasts a 3.75 GPA. In order to be eligible for COSIDA Academic All-American status, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve, maintain a grade point average of 3.20 and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing.
Pallotta, the 2009 America East Midfielder of the Year, finished her time at BU with 48 career points after a banner year in which she scored an impressive eight goals and added three assists. She is currently placed ninth on BU's all-time scoring list and helped lead the Terriers to their third straight America East Championship crown and fifth-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009. She was a first-team all-conference honoree in 2007 and a second-team choice in 2008 and had a banner year in 2009.
