BOSTON - After a week of fundraising culminating in last Sunday's game against UMBC, the Boston University women's soccer team was able to raise $2,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
With senior Tayler Nichols coordinating, the Terriers hosted a silent auction, sold pink soccer balls at the George Sherman Union to the BU community and also donated all gate receipts from the game.
Pink jerseys worn by the team during the game to help promote awareness of cancer were also sold to raise money.
