BOSTON - Previously named 2011 America East Rookie of the Year, Boston University women's soccer forward Taylor Krebs received Freshman All-America Second Team honors from Soccer America. A native of Dove Canyon, Calif., she was a key contributor on the offensive end, helping the Terriers claim the program's fifth straight America East title and seventh consecutive NCAA bid.

Krebs was just one of 10 forwards across the country to be recognized by the publication.

Providing the offensive punch off the bench, she appeared in all of BU's 23 games and scored when her team needed it most. Five of her six goals went for game winners, which tied for second best in the conference.

Named to Soccer America's Team of the Week on Aug. 31 after tallying game winners against Illinois State and Loyola (Md.), she also had two assists on the season for 14 points.

Krebs' award comes a week after seniors Lina Cords and Jessica Luscinski were named All-Americans by the NSCAA.
