Senior Kristen Connors of Boston University’s swimming team competed at the USA Swimming National Championships held Thursday, Dec. 1 through Saturday, Dec. 3, in Atlanta, Ga.

Connors swam in the preliminaries of the 100m breaststroke on Friday, clocking in at 1:12.66, which was less than a second short of qualifying for the finals in that event.

Connors returned to the pool on Saturday to compete in the 200m breaststroke, finishing with a time of 2:38.42 in the preliminaries.

The Terriers have completed the 2011 portion of their season and will return to action on Monday, Jan. 16, with a trip to Durham, N.H., to compete with New Hampshire. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
