Gibson, 4x400m Relay Team Compete in Final Day

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore Allison Barwise and senior Whitney Ford advanced to the NCAA championships with qualifying marks in the high jump and triple jump, respectively, at the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Friday.

In the second day of preliminary competition, Barwise secured the seventh-best mark in the high jump (1.78m), while Ford finished 11th in the triple jump with a 12.57m leap.

The pair will join junior Katie Matthews, who qualified in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday, at the NCAA championships, to be held June 8-11 in Des Moines, Iowa.

In other first-round action, junior Shelby Walton (24.65) and sophomore Nikko Brady (14.21) competed in the 200m dash and 100m hurdles, respectively, while classmate R.J. Page (21.67) represented the men's team in the 200m dash.
