BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore R.J. Page of the Boston University men's track & field team competed in the 200m dash at the NCAA East Preliminary Round at Indiana University's Haugh Track & Field Complex on Friday.
In the second day of preliminary competition, the Swedesboro, N.J., native secured a 32nd-place finish with a time of 21.67.
On the women's side, sophomore Allison Barwise and senior Whitney Ford advanced to the NCAA championships with qualifying marks in the high jump and triple jump, respectively. Barwise secured the seventh-best mark in the high jump (1.78m), while Ford finished 11th in the triple jump with a 12.57m leap.
The pair will join junior Katie Matthews, who qualified in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday, at the NCAA championships, to be held June 8-11 in Des Moines, Iowa.
In other first-round action, junior Shelby Walton (24.65) and Nikko Brady (14.21) competed in the 200m dash and 100m hurdles, respectively.
BU will conclude preliminary-round competition Saturday (May 28) when sophomore Robert Gibson competes in the 5,000-meter run and the men's 4x400m relay squad runs in its quarterfinal round.
