HANOVER, N.H. - The Boston University women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to Dartmouth Wednesday night at Burnham Field in a non-conference game. BU netted the first goal of the contest in the 12th minute but Dartmouth followed with two unanswered tallies to capture the victory. The Terriers eight-game winning streak was snapped as BU moves to 11-6-1 on the season while The Big Green improve to 10-4-0.

BU and Dartmouth were even with three shots apiece in the first half before Dartmouth tallied seven strikes in the second period while BU managed two shots. The Big Green put five balls on target while the Terriers tested Dartmouth twice.

The Terriers scored in the 12th minute on their first shot of the game. Clemens netted her team-leading eighth goal of the season uncontested in the box following a pass from senior Jessica Morrow to give BU an early 1-0 lead.

The Big Green netted an equalizer just over 10 minutes later when Libby Hamlin took a pass from Chrissy Lozier from the corner and found the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.

BU had a pair of chances in the final five minutes of the half but freshman Clare Pleuler had her shot blocked by Dartmouth's defense and sophomore Jamie Turchi's attempt sailed over the net.

The Terriers took the first shot of the second half before Dartmouth took control of the momentum. The Big Green was awarded four corner kicks in the second period but BU defended its net well.

Freshman Rachel Blauner had BU's only shot on net in the final half in the 86th minute but Dartmouth's Tatiana Saunders made the save.

The Big Green scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute. Tasha Wilkins sent a cross from the right side across the box to Kendall Kraus who beat goalkeeper Andrea Green to give Dartmouth a 2-1 lead that it would hold for the remainder of the game.

BU concludes the regular season Sunday (Oct. 21) when the Terriers host New Hampshire for Senior Day at 1 p.m. BU has already clinched a share of the America East regular season title and can claim the crown outright with a win.
