Vote Morrow for Soccer News Net College Boot Player of the Year
BOSTON – Senior Jessica Morrow of the Boston University women’s soccer team has earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Women’s Soccer All-America honors, the organization announced on Friday afternoon. Morrow was named to the third team.
Head coach Nancy Feldman has now helped develop at least one All-American in each of the last four seasons and has coached a total of eight Terriers to earn All-American status since 2000.
Morrow concluded her senior campaign as the America East Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring a defense that allowed just four goals in eight conference games for BU to lead the America East with a 0.49 goals-against average. BU shut out five of its eight league opponents en route to claiming its sixth straight America East regular season title with a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play.
Morrow started every game for the Terriers in the center back position and also contributed on the offensive end, as she dished out five assists to rank fourth in the conference and tie for first on the team.
The Andover, Mass., native served as a co-captain for the 2012 season and earned America East All-Conference First Team honors in addition to a spot on the All-Academic Team.
