After scoring goals in back-to-back games, sophomore Ana Cuffia of the Boston University women’s soccer team has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native tallied the game-winning goal in BU’s 3-1 win at NC State last Thursday. Cuffia broke the 1-1 tie in the 66th minute when she scored off a cross into the box from classmate Kai Miller.
The sophomore then scored her third goal of the season in the Terriers’ 3-1 win over Albany on Sunday. With BU already holding a 2-1 lead, Cuffia fired a shot from the left of the net in the 73rd minute off an assist from junior Emma Clark.
Cuffia has played in all 11 games for the Terriers with nine starts and is tied for the team lead with seven points (3 goals, 1 assist).
