After scoring the game-winning goal for the No. 25 Boston University women's soccer team in the first round of the NCAA tournament, freshman Erica Kosienski has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
The Plantsville, Conn., native netted her team-leading eighth goal of the season for the Terriers to defeat Harvard, 1-0, and advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in program history. The freshman found the back of the net in the 76th minute with an assist from senior Kylie Strom for her eighth game-winning goal of the year.
Kosienski, the Patriot League Rookie of the Year and All-League Second Team honoree, has come off the bench in all 22 games this year and is the team's leading scorer with eight goals and an assist for 17 points.
