The Terriers’ offense was led by three different goal scorers, as senior Madison Clemens posted her second goal of the season while junior Jamie Turchi and freshman Erica Kosienski netted their first goals of the year.
Senior Andrea Green earned the start in net for BU and made a pair of saves in the first half before junior Alyssa Parisi came in for the second half. Klaire Adee was in goal for the Zips and made three stops on the afternoon.
Clemens got BU on the board early as she found the back of the net in the fifth minute to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Clare Pleuler registered her second assist of the season with a pass inside the box from the right side. The Zips took a 2-1 lead in the 61st minute with a strike from Sivic but the lead did not stand for long, as Turchi tied the game at 2-2 with a blast in the 65th minute. The junior netted an unassisted tally as she fired a shot from inside the box over Adee’s head to make it a 2-2 game.
Kosienski was responsible for the game-winning goal, as the freshman recorded her first collegiate tally in the 79th minute to give BU the 3-2 lead. Sophomore Lauren MacLellan registered her first career assist on the play as Kosienski took a shot from the left of the net that found the bottom right corner.
Neither team managed a shot in the final minutes of the game as BU held on for the 3-2 victory.
