BOSTON - Taylor Krebs and Alivya Wimmer each earned a spot on the Patriot League Weekly Awards list, with Krebs earning the Offensive Player of the Week distinction and Wimmer taking Rookie of the Week honors.
Krebs scored two game winning goals to help the Terriers sweep a pair of important Patriot League matches against Colgate and American. Boston University handed the first-place Raiders their first conference loss of the season on Wednesday as Krebs netted her third goal of the season in the fifth minute of a 2-0 victory at Nickerson Field. The senior got Boston University off to a first half lead again on Sunday with a goal in the 25th minute of a 3-0 win against American.
Wimmer played all 180 minutes at center back in a pair of Boston University home victories last week. The Terriers limited first place Colgate to only four shots, none on net, in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday. Wimmer and her defensive mates again allowed no shots on goal on Sunday, and only two overall, as Boston University defeated American 3-0.
BU closes out its regular season schedule on Saturday at Bucknell. The game is slated to begin at noon.
