MLS Player Combine Invitee List
BOSTON - Boston University men's soccer senior and reigning Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year Dominique Badji has earned a spot at the 2015 adidas MLS Player Combine, the professional league announced Thursday afternoon.
The Dakar, Senegal native was one of just 55 NCAA Division I college seniors invited to the showcase on Jan. 8-13 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The coaching staffs from all 20 MLS teams will be on hand to scout talent for the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, scheduled to take place on Thursday, Jan. 15, in Philadelphia.
Michael Bustamante ('12) was the last Terrier in 2013 to be invited to attend the combine by the MLS. Weeks after participating, he was drafted by the New York Red Bulls.
Badji finished his collegiate career tallying a personal-best eight goals, four assists and 20 points. His most productive season with the Terriers helped propel BU to its first conference regular season title since 2011 and first tournament final since 2008.
He headed in the golden goal against Army's PL Goalkeeper of the Year Winston Boldt in the semifinals after recording the game winner against defending conference champion Navy during the regular season.
