BOSTON - Extending its win streak to three matches, the Boston University women's tennis team claimed a 6-1 victory over Binghamton on Sunday afternoon at the BU Track & Tennis Center.

The Terriers (9-6) won the first two doubles contests for the first point and then captured five singles points in straight sets, as the former America East foe Bearcats fell to 4-8.

Sophomore Johanna Hyoty teamed with senior Leonie-Charlotte Athanasiadis for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles and then posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles. Athanasiadis added a singles point in the No. 3 slot with a 6-1, 7-5 victory.

In the other doubles match, sophomore Lauren Davis and freshman Barbara Rodriguez coasted to an 8-1 victory. Davis followed up at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

Freshman Iris Lin blanked Binghamton's No. 6 player, 6-0, 6-0, and junior Sami Lieb collected another point for the Terriers at No. 4 (6-3, 6-3). 

The Terriers will next host UConn on Wednesday (March 26) at 3 p.m.
