After tallying a combined 11 saves in a pair of shutout victories, junior Matt Gilbert has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Gilbert started with three saves in a 1-0 victory over a UMass Lowell squad that had outscored its previous five opponents, 8-4. He followed up with a season-high eight saves, one shy of his personal best, at American to hand the Eagles their first shutout loss of the season.
Also named PL Goalkeeper and NSCAA College Player of the Week, Gilbert currently ranks 15th nationally in save percentage (.840) and 22nd in saves per game (4.67).
