CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Patriot League Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year Alyssa Parisi added another feather to her cap as she was selected the Patriot League Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Parisi is both the first PL Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year for the Terriers since joining the conference in 2013.
Boasting a 3.76 GPA, Parisi is currently working towards a Masters degree in public relations. She is a two-time Patriot League All-Academic Team member, which consists of just 11 players each season from a pool of 10 academically competitive member schools.
The Camarillo, Calif. native has had one of the best seasons of her career in 2015, as she heads into the Patriot League Tournament on a six-game shutout streak and 11-game unbeaten streak. Parisi has not allowed a goal in her last 475 minutes in net which has helped her to a 0.70 overall goals against average and an even more incredible 0.23 GAA in league action.
Parisi and the Terriers return to action on Friday afternoon as they host the Patriot League Tournament on Nickerson Field. Up first for BU is the semifinal game against Loyola Maryland at 4 p.m., which will be aired live on the Patriot League Network.
