Butzke Earns Second PL Rookie of the Week Honor

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After opening the regular season with a Patriot League Corvias Rookie of the Week Award, Boston University men's soccer freshman T.J. Butzke has ended the regular season by receiving his second honor, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
A native of Holbrook, N.Y., Butzke scored the Terriers' first goal, as they began to rally for a 2-1 win in double overtime at Navy on Friday. He headed in the equalizer in the 51st minute from the middle of the box on a cross from junior David Asbjornsson to give BU a bye into the semifinals of this week’s conference tournament.
Butzke started the year with a golden goal at defending Atlantic 10 champion Fordham to receive his first conference weekly award. He also tallied three assists over the season to enter the conference tournament with seven points.
