Terriers Fall to New Hampshire, 59-51

BOSTON – Junior Sophie Beaudry matched a career high with 12 points and was one of five Terriers with five rebounds, but the Boston University women's basketball team fell to New Hampshire, 59-51, on Monday night at Case Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Terriers began the game on a 10-0 run when Hauck and Sheftic each scored four quick points to complement a bucket from Williams.
- BU held a 16-9 lead after the first quarter, but UNH scored 17 points in the second stanza to take a 26-22 lead into halftime.
- Trailing by as much as 11 in the second half, BU rallied back to tie the score, 44-44, with 4:38 remaining in the fourth quarter.
- The Wildcats pulled away over the final portion of the game, however, and eventually secured a 59-51 win.
- This was Beaudry's highest single-game point total as a Terrier. She previously had 12 points on two separate occasions while at Monmouth, the last coming on Feb. 20, 2015.
- Beaudry was 6-of-10 from the floor and also had a block, a steal and an assist.
- Senior Sarah Hope finished with 11 points thanks in part to 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. She also led the Terriers with six assists, one short of her career high.
- Junior Corrine Williams collected four steals and senior Courtney Latham dished out four assists; both players totaled four points apiece.
- In addition to Beaudry, senior Meghan Green and junior Kara Sheftic had five boards, as did Williams and Latham. Sheftic also added eight points.
- BU will head west to play in the ASU Classic, which begins Friday against Arizona State. BU will then face either Florida or Long Beach State the next day.
