BOSTON – Junior Sophie Beaudry recorded her first career double-double and sophomore Naiyah Thompson scored a career-high 12 points, but the Boston University women's basketball suffered a 61-49 setback against Dartmouth on Wednesday night at Case Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED

For the fifth time in six games, BU held a lead after the first quarter. On Wednesday, the Terriers shot over 40 percent over the first 10 minutes to grab a 13-10 advantage.
Beaudry scored six of her 12 points in the opening quarter.
Dartmouth took over in the second quarter thanks to over 53 percent shooting, including a 3-of-5 performance from beyond the arc, and held a 21-12 halftime lead.
BU never quit, scoring 18 points in the final quarter thanks to 50-percent shooting from the floor, but the Big Green lead was too much to overcome.
Five different Terriers had a bucket in the fourth quarter.

GAME NOTES

Beaudry matched her career high with 12 points while securing 11 rebounds for her first collegiate double-double.
It was also the first double-double of the season for BU.
Thompson was terrific for the Terriers, going 6-of-8 from the floor to total 12 points, eclipsing her previous career high of nine, which she achieved twice last season.
In addition to her sterling scoring showcase over a career-high 30 minutes, Thompson also brought down a career-best eight rebounds and secured a career-best three steals for the second time in the last three games.
