Terriers Celebrate Senior Day with 177-118 Win over Boston College

BOSTON – After recognizing the senior class, the Boston University women's swimming & diving team posted the top result in 14 of 16 events en route to a 177-118 victory over Boston College on Saturday afternoon at the Competition Pool.
Sophomore Julimar Avila helped the Terriers claim their 11th-straight win over the Eagles by posting the top time in the 50 free, 100 free and the 100 fly while also winning the 200 Medley Relay with senior Isabella Olivares, sophomore Erin Nabney and senior Christy Wilde. Nabney was the other BU swimmer to place first in multiple events with the top time in both the 200 free and 200 breast.
Reigning PL Diver of the Week Kalli Roebelen swept the two diving events with a score of 256:05 in the 1-meter and 264:.45 in the 1-meter.
The Terrier swimmers will next visit Bryant on Sunday (Jan. 29) at 12 p.m., while the divers will have to wait for the UConn Open on Saturday, Feb. 4 for their next competition.
