
Terriers Face Local Foes at Octoberfest Invitational

ALLSTON, Mass. – Highlighted by two wins from freshman Pete Siozios, the Boston University men's tennis team faced competitors from Tufts and host Harvard at the Octoberfest Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Siozios posted a 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 win over Tufts' Owen Bartok and also teamed with classmate Ethan Kolsky for an 8-6 doubles win against Bartok and Ben Biswas.
Kolsky rallied to force a third-set super tiebreaker in singles action but came up just short to Biswas, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0.
Freshman David Bogatin fell in a two-set battle to Harvard's Galen Lee, 7-5, 7-6, while sophomore J.P. Avila dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Andrew Bell. The four men competed in doubles as well with the Crimson edging the Terriers, 8-7.
BU will next continue the fall slate at the Dartmouth Invite next weekend on Oct. 13-15.
