KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Boston University women's soccer graduate student Rachel Bloznalis became the first Terrier in program history to be named a two-time NCAA Division I Scholar All-American, as she earned a spot on the second team for the second year in-a-row, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches Thursday.

To be considered for the Scholar All-America Teams, nominees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30, start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to their team, and be a junior above in academic standing.

The lone representative of the Patriot League across the three teams to be recognized, Bloznalis posted a cumulative 3.52 GPA as a public health major and is currently pursuing her masters degree in public health with a concentration in health policy and law.

One of just one of 10 NCAA Division I defenders across the three teams, Bloznalis helped guide the Terriers to three Patriot League championships en route to racking up numerous honors from the Patriot League and nationally throughout her career. A two-time Patriot League Defender of the Year, Bloznalis was twice named Academic All-Patriot League and was a three-time All-Patriot League First Team selection.

On the national level, Bloznalis was a Senior CLASS Award candidate each of the past two years and was one of 30 student-athletes in the nation to be selected to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List this past season.
