NEWTON, Mass. – Boston College's high-octane offense was too much for the Boston University women's soccer team as it blanked the Terriers, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at Newton Soccer Field.
The Eagles opened the scoring in the 18th minute before netting a pair in the second half to secure its third straight win over the Terriers.

- Working off corner kick in the 18th minute, Amanda Fay punched out the initial shot from the Eagles, but BC headed in the rebound to light the scoreboard first.
- McKenna Doyle nearly delivered the equalizer in the 22nd minute, arching a shot from 20 yards out that sailed just over the crossbar.
- The Eagles converted on a penalty kick to take a two-goal command in 49th minute.
- The Terriers pressured the Eagle's defensive third heavily midway through the second frame, getting three shots on goal off in the 62nd minute, including two right in front of the goal line, but BC's netminder made several last-second saves to keep BU off the scoreboard.
- BC added an insurance goal on a breakaway in the 69th minute.
- Just one minute later, Alivya Wimmer nearly put the Terriers on the board by getting a chest shot off that headed towards the upper 90, but BC's keeper made a full-extension save to preserve the shutout.
- Fay made her first career start in net, playing all 90 minutes and finished with three saves.
- The Terriers matched the Eagles in shots on goal (6) and corner kicks (4).
- All six of BU's shots on goal came in the second half, and the Terriers outshot the Eagles, 12-10.
