NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Satyajit Simhadri and freshman Pedro Gutierrez continued the fall schedule for the Boston University men's tennis team by competing at the Ivy Plus hosted by Yale.

Gutierrez opened with a pair of straight-set wins against Dartmouth (6-4, 6-2) and Penn (6-4, 7-6) before falling to Harvard (6-4, 6-3) in his final singles match.

Simhadri bounced back from a 7-6, 7-6 loss to Harvard by claiming three-set wins against both Marist (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) and Bryant (2-6, 6-3, 6-2). He rallied to win the second set against Yale but fell in the tiebreaker for a 6-3, 1-6, 10-6 loss.

The duo had a strong showing in doubles, collecting wins against Brown and Bryant by a combined score of 16-7. Gutierrez and Simhadri almost had a perfect weekend but came up just short to another pair from Bryant in a hard-fought 8-6 loss.

The Terriers will next compete at the Brown Invitational on Sept. 29 - Oct. 1.
