Men's Tennis Opens Dual Season with 7-0 Sweeps over SNHU and Siena

BOSTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive year, the Boston University men's tennis team opened the dual season with 7-0 sweeps over Southern New Hampshire and Siena on Sunday afternoon at the Track & Tennis Center.

MATCH NOTES
- The Terriers swept the Penmen in doubles by a combined score of 19-13 and then claimed four of their six singles points in straight sets.
- BU followed up by winning 18 of 24 games in doubles against the Saints for another doubles sweep and then won the top three singles matches in straight sets ... Another contest went three sets, and the other two were shortened to a "super" set with the winner needing only eight games.
- All 10 Terriers on the roster won at least one match Sunday with seven winning in both singles and doubles.
- Freshman Pete Siozios was the lone Terrier to go a combined 4-0 with two singles wins, including a 6-2, 6-2 victory at line 3 against SNHU, and two doubles victories.
- Junior Mario Nicosia dropped the fewest games in a singles match at line 6 against SNHU with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
