Men's Basketball Flies to Eastern Michigan for Saturday Afternoon Tilt

BOSTON – Looking to remain perfect on the road following wins at rivals Northeastern and Albany, the Boston University men's basketball team will fly to Eastern Michigan for a Saturday afternoon matchup with the ESPN3 broadcast slated to begin at 2:30 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS- BU is making its first visit to the Great Lakes State since posting a 63-52 win at Michigan on Dec. 14, 2004 ... The Terriers also won in Ann Arbor a year prior in OT, 61-60.
- The Terriers will try to win their first three road games of a season for the first time since the 2004-05 season when they won four straight at Youngstown State, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Harvard.
- BU 9-9 all-time against current members of the Mid-American Conference with the last trip taking place at Ohio University in 2004 ... The Terriers prevailed in that contest, 67-64, in 2OT.
- Junior Tyler Scanlon (14.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg), junior Max Mahoney (13.7 ppg) and sophomore Javante McCoy (12.0 ppg) have all reached double figures in the three games against NCAA Division I opponents ... All three men have also led BU in scoring for one game apiece with freshman Jordan Guest (7.0 ppg) posting a team-high 15 points against Emerson.
- McCoy ranks third nationally in assist-turnover ratio with 13 helpers against just one turnover.
- The Terriers are shooting an impressive 49.6 percent from the field and 40.2 percent in 3-point territory while holding opponents to 38.7 FG% and 25.0 3FG% ... Opponents though own a 58-37 advantage in free throws to help make up some of the difference.
- BU currently owns a +8.8 rebounding margin though has averaged 2.7 more turnovers a game.
- EMU entered the week with the third most receiving votes outside the top 25 of the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll.
- The Eagles are a perfect 3-0 at home with wins over Rochester (77-67), Drexel (66-62) and Goshen (97-74) ... Their lone loss occurred on Wednesday at No. 1 Duke (84-46).
- EMU returns four starters from last year's squad that went 22-13 and 11-7 in the Mid-American Conference.
- Paul Jackson directs the offense with a team-high 15.5 ppg and 5.0 apg, while Boubacar Toure is nearly averaging a double-double at 10.8 ppg and 9.0 rpg.
- Jame Thompson IV is close behind in rebounding at 8.3 rpg while also averaging 7.5 ppg.
- The Eagles are shooting 46.4 FG% despite shooting just 28.2 percent from behind the arc, while opponents are being held to 40.4 FG% and 31.1 3FG%.
- Eastern Michigan owns a 2-1 lead in the series with a 100-54 home victory in 1990 and 72-69 win in 1997 at a regular season tournament hosted by Arizona State.
