Women's Soccer Draws LSU in NCAA Opening Round

BOSTON - Following capturing the program's fourth Patriot League title, the Boston University women's soccer team will travel to LSU for the NCAA Tournament First Round, the NCAA announced Monday afternoon. Opening kick from LSU Soccer Stadium is set for 2 p.m. EST on Sunday, Nov. 11.
The Terriers will be making their 14th NCAA Tournament in 24 seasons as a varsity program after blanking Lehigh, 1-0, in the championship game on Sunday. BU shut out all nine of its conference opponents this season and is 10-0-1 over its last 11 games.
LSU is coming off its first SEC Tournament title after sinking Arkansas, 4-1, on Sunday and holds a 13-6-3 overall record. This will be the first-ever matchup between BU and LSU.
Additionally, this will also be the furthest the Terriers will travel for the postseason since 2008 when it played Southern California in Provo, Utah.
