BOSTON - Recently completing her 24th season as head coach of the Boston University women's soccer team, Nancy Feldman was honored by Mayor Marty Walsh Thursday at City Hall. In addition to being congratulated on a season that saw Feldman capture her 400th career win as a collegiate head coach, which includes 300 victories at BU, Mayor Walsh declared Dec. 11 to be Coach Nancy Feldman Day in the City of Boston.
One of the most accomplished coaches at the women's soccer collegiate level, Feldman ranks 10th all-time in career victories, is an 11-time Conference Coach of the Year and a two-time NSCAA Region Coach of the Year. Furthermore, Feldman has guided the Terriers to 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, 13 conference regular season titles and 13 conference tournament championships.
This past season, Feldman guided the Terriers to the 2018 Patriot League regular season and postseason titles and was recognized as the Patriot League Coach of the Year. The Terriers' 3-0 win at Holy Cross marked the 300th win in program history, while the 1-0 shutout over Lehigh in the conference championship game was Feldman's 400th career win as a collegiate head coach.
Adding to her milestone year, Feldman will be presented the United Soccer Coaches' Women's Soccer Award of Excellence in January.
