BOSTON - The men's and women's track & field teams will conclude their indoor season when they host the BU Last Chance Meet at the TTC on Sunday, the final day of the season for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Student-athletes competing will need to finish with one of the top 16 results in the country in a given event to qualify for nationals.
For the women, two-time Patriot League gold medalist Tehya Noell will compete in the long jump. She currently has a season-best mark of 19' 5.25" and would need at least a 20' 5.25" to qualify for nationals. Noell is coming off a remarkable performance at the PL Championships where she finished first in the long jump with a 5.89m (19' 14") effort and first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.53.
On the men's side, sophomore Paul Luevano will compete in the 1-mile run. Luevano has a season-best time of 4:02.97 in the mile while the final NCAA qualifying time is currenlty 3:57.90. Luevano is the only member of the men's team scheduled to compete on Sunday.
