CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Boston University men's tennis freshman David Bogatin was named Patriot League Player of the Week after two strong singles performances against nationally-ranked programs, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Los Angeles, California, native started off by dispatching No. 26 Harvard's Samuel Beren, 7-6, 6-3 at line 4 in singles action and posting a 7-6 win at No. 2 doubles with sophomore Fabian Soemarno. He then finished with the second most games won by a Terrier at No. 14 Dartmouth. He battled to the end but couldn't get the needed break points in a 6-3, 6-4 loss at line 4.
The award marks the second this season for the Terriers after freshman Pete Siozios was recognized on Feb. 6.
