TAMPA, Fla. - Three Boston University track and field standouts will compete at the NCAA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field East Regional Championship which begins on Thursday at the University of South Florida.

Graduate-student
David Oluwadara (triple jump) and sophomore
Paul Luevano (1500m run) will compete in the men's competition while on the women's side senior
Tehya Noell (100m hurdles) will compete at the three-day event which will take place this Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26). The top 12 performers in each event will move on to Eugene, Org. for the NCAA Track & Field Championships on June 6-9.

This is the fourth straight year that graduate-student
David Oluwadara has qualified for the East prelims in the triple jump. Oluwadara ranks 6th in the East region with his school-record mark of 16.21 meters (53' 2") which he set on April 14th at the Auburn Tiger Classic. The triple jump is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Sophomore
Paul Luevano will compete in the first round of the 1500m run on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with the top five times in each heat plus the next best four times advancing to the quarterfinals on Saturday. Luevano qualified with a time of 3:44.34 which he set at the Larry Ellis Invite in Princeton, N.J. on April 21.

On the women's side, senior
Tehya Noell will compete in the first round of the 100m hurdles on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with the top three finishes in each heat plus the next best six times advancing to the quarterfinals on Saturday at 1:50 p.m. Noell qualified for the NCAA prelims with her terrific gold-medal performance at the Patriot League Championships when she finished with a personal-best time of 13.43 .
