Luevano Competes at NCAA Quarterfinals

RESULTS
TAMPA, Fla. – Sophomore Paul Luevano of the Boston University men's track & field men's track & field team competed in the quarterfinals of the 1500m run at the NCAA East Regionals on Saturday afternoon. Luevano finished 24th with a time of 3:58.88 and did not advance to the NCAA Championships.
On Thursday, Luevano competed in the NCAA East preliminaries and finished first in his heat with a time of 3:46.29, the eighth-fastest time of the day, and advanced to Saturday's quarterfinals.
Luevano was one of three members of the BU track & field teams to compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries in Tampa, Fla. over the weekend.
On Friday, senior Senior Tehya Noell of the women's team competed in the 100m hurdles. Noell finished 43rd with a time of 13.73 seconds and did not advance to the quarterfinals. She qualified for the NCAA prelims with her gold-medal performance at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships when she finished first with a personal-best time of 13.43 seconds.
Also competing for the Terriers, graduate student David Oluwadara will compete in the triple jump on Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m. Oluwadara ranks 6th in the East region with his school-record mark of 16.21 meters (53' 2") which he set on April 14th at the Auburn Tiger Classic. The top 12 performers will advance to Eugene, Org. for the NCAA Track & Field Championship on June 6-9.
