CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – After helping lead the Boston University men's tennis team to the Patriot League tournament semifinals, freshman Owen Lu has received All-Conference Second Team accolades, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
A native of Guangzhou, China, Lu recorded 21 singles wins with an 11-7 dual-season record, including nine victories in the top two slots. During the PL semifinals, he rallied from a set down to defeat All-PL First Team member Aries Wong, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. He also posted wins against competitors from then-No. 26 Harvard, UConn, Fordham and Georgetown.
In doubles, he led the Terriers with 16 wins with a 10-9 mark alongside classmate Ethan Kolsky. Some of the highlight victories came against Army West Point, Bucknell Lehigh and Siena.
Lu's award marks the eighth straight year that at least one member of the team has received an All-Conference honor.
