Three Terriers Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Accolades

BOSTON – After helping lead the Boston University men's tennis team to the Patriot League semifinals and finishing with a GPA above 3.50, rising junior J.P. Avila, junior Marc Sable and freshman Owen Lu have been named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athletes.
The honor marks the second for Avila, who finished with a team-high 3.81 GPA for the academic year. Both Lu (3.67) and Sable (3.56) were recognized for the first time.
All three Terriers were previously named to the Patriot League Academic Honor for claiming a GPA above 3.20 alongside freshmen David Bogatin and Pedro Gutierrez.
