BOSTON - The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams will continue their 2018-19 indoor season on Saturday at BU's Track & Tennis Center when the Terriers host the BU Multi Team Meet against UMass Lowell, Boston College, Harvard and Sacred Heart.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. with the women's 60m hurdles followed by the 1-mile run. The final event of the meet will be the 500m run at 3:20pm. For live results of the event go to LancerTiming.com
Saturday will be the first competition for the Terriers since the Howlin' Husky Invite hosted by Northeastern on Dec. 8 where BU had several strong performances. On the women's side, sophomore Bridget Chiaravalle finished first in the 200m dash with a personal best time of 25.26 and second in the 60m hurdles with a personal best time of 8.88. On the men's side, sophomore Nikolas Smith won the 500m dash with a time of 1:05.16 and finished second in the 60m dash with a personal-best time of 6.91.
For their efforts, Smith and Chiaravalle were named Patriot League Male and Female Track Athletes of the Week respectively.
After Saturday's competition, the Terriers will host the two-day John Thomas Terrier Classic on Jan. 25 (women) & 26 (men) at the TTC.
