BOSTON - The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams will open their 2019-20 indoor season by hosting the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday at BU's Track & Tennis Center.
The meet will feature over 850 athletes representing some of the top track programs in the nation. Saturday will also mark the debut of Boston University director of track & field Gabe Sanders who took over the program in August.
"We are incredibly excited to open up the 2019 2020 campaign this Saturday at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Opener," said Sanders. "The athletes have embraced the new staff, the new vision, and the new direction of the program with open arms. It's been a very fun, progressive preseason these last three months and this weekend will serve as a good check in with how we're adapting. It is also exciting to be the hallmark meet to represent the beginning of the NCAA track season. Hosting some of the best competitions not only the NCAA but the world is something we take a lot of pride in. This weekend's line ups will undoubtedly live up to the standard everyone has come to expect when competing on the Beynon Launchpad!"
