
Soares Wins 400 IM, Nabney Sets Another Record on Day Three of PL Championships

RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. - Led by standout performances by Carly Soares and Erin Nabney, the Boston University women's swimming & diving team posted a strong night to hold onto fourth place heading into the Patriot League Championships finale at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.
Nabney broke her second school record of the Patriot League Championships Friday, this time rewriting the 100 breast in the morning preliminary session with a time of 1:02.74 before finishing fifth in the final. Soares won the 400 IM with a time of 4:16.16, just 25 tenths of a second shy of breaking the school record.
Sydney Lee just missed the podium with a fourth-place finish in the 200 free, ticking in at 1:48.54, while the 400 free relay squad of Julimar Avila, Nabney, Sydney Brown, and Lee clocked in at 1:32.98 to tack on another fourth-place finish to end the third day of the championships.
The Patriot League Championships will close out tomorrow with the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 400 free relay.
