RESULTS

LEWISBURG, Pa. – For the second straight year, the Boston University women's swimming and diving team finished in fifth place at the Patriot League Championships, finishing with 405 points after the four-day championship meet.

The 400 free relay team of Julimar Avila, Erin Nabney, Sydney Brown and Sydney Lee set the school record with a time of 3:22.26 to close out the meet. The relay marked the third school record broken at the championships. Nabney, who set the 200 IM and 100 breast records earlier in the meet, finishes her career with two individual and three relay school records.

Guided by 12 individual first-place finishes by Lauren Barber, Navy ran away with the title capture its eighth straight Patriot League title and 18th in the last 28 years. Barber became the first swimmer in conference history to win 12 events at the championships.

BU also picked up a point in the Turnpike Trophy as it surpassed Holy Cross to improve to 11-3 in the 2018-19 rivalry series. Soares was named the Turnpike Trophy MVP after contributing 80 points for the Terriers.
