Terriers to Compete at Three Meets This Weekend

The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams will compete at three separate meets over the weekend. Several BU sprinters will compete at the Tom Jones Memorial Invite hosted by the University of Florida on Friday and Saturday. In addition, several runners and field athlete will compete locally at the Skyhawk Invite hosted by Stonehill College on Saturday. Also this weekend, four Terriers are scheduled to compete at the Virginia Grand Prix hosted by the University of Virginia on Saturday.

This weekend's competition will be the last tune up for the Terriers before the Patriot League Championships on May 3-4.

Tom Jones Memorial Invite
University of Florida | Gainesville, Fla.
Several BU sprinters will compete at the Tom Jones Memorial Invite hosted by the University of Florida on Friday and Saturday. On the men's side, Chiebuka Onwuzurike will compete in the 100m dash and 200m dash. Onwuzurike enters the meet with the third-fastest 100m time in the Patriot League (10:52) and the sixth fastest 200m (21.58) this season.

On the women's side Leah Fowlkes will compete in the 200m dash and the 400m dash. Fowlkes is currently third in 200m dash in the PL with a time of 24.45 and third in the 400m dash with a time of 55.35, both set at the Miami Hurricane Invite on March 15.

Skyhawk Invite
Stonehill College | Easton, Mass.
Several runners and field athlete will compete locally at the Skyhawk Invite hosted by Stonehill College on Saturday. For the men, Marcel Aubry will compete in the 800m run while in the field, Clint Lockwood will compete in the shot put and discus.

On the women's side, Sarah Cicchetti will compete in both the shot put and hammer throw Laura Parkinson will be one of four Terriers to compete in the 800m run.

Virginia Grand Prix
University of Virginia | Charlottesville, Virg.
Four Terriers are scheduled to compete at the Virginia Grand Prix hosted by the University of Virginia on Saturday. Johnathon Kemps will look to improve on his time of 3:48.74 which he set at the Ocean State Invite on April 12 and is currently fourth best in the PL.

For the women, Andrea Claeson will compete in the 1500m run looking to improve on her time of 4:29.72 which is third best in the PL this season.
