BROOKLINE, Mass. – Making his debut, sophomore goalkeeper Edgar Schottland Levy stopped a penalty kick at 12:00 but was unable to make magic again with 14 seconds remaining in double overtime, as Northeastern edged the Boston University men's soccer team, 1-0, on Tuesday night at Parsons Field.

With the golden goal, the Huskies (5-2-1) extend their unbeaten streak to six games, while the Terriers (0-7-1) suffered their second 110th minute loss of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Sophomore John Siracuse fired a low grounder for the first shot on goal at 9:37.
Shortly thereafter, the Huskies earned their first of two penalty kick attempts, but Levy was able to dive to his right for the save against Jacob Marin-Thomson.
Both teams had quality looks off corners over the final 15 minutes of the half.
Northeastern headed one wide, and freshman Jacopo Ambrosetti's one-timer at the far post was saved by the diving Noah Abrams.
Sophomore Gent Celaj forced Abrams to make another save at 47:44 in the second half with a hard shot from outside the box.
Starting the second half, junior William Bonnelyche made two saves in the 81st minute but had to leave in the 90th minute after Northeastern received a yellow card for colliding with him on a cross.
In the first overtime, BU fed a through ball to set up a quick shot attempt from Ambrosetti inside the box, but Abrams ran off his line to make the save.
Schottland Levy made two saves to keep the game scoreless entering the second OT.
In the 105th minute, the Terriers made a charge at the Huskies backline with Abrams again coming off his line to save a shot by Ambrosetti.
Trying to set up a shot, Celaj seemingly got around his defender but was called with a foul with 30 seconds left outside the box.
With the clock stopped, the Huskies played the ball up the field and drew contact during a cross to claim their second penalty kick of the night.
Timothy Ennin converted for the victory with a shot at the left post, as Schottland Levy dove in the opposite direction.

GAME NOTES

Ambrosetti led the Terriers with four saves, while Northeastern's Benjamin Klingen had five.
Schottland Levy (seven) and Bonnelyche (two) combined for nine saves, while Abrams had six for Northeastern.
Freshman defender Florian Rieder was the only Terrier to play every second of the season until he was dangerously tackled from behind in the middle of the second half.
The Terriers and Huskies battled to a second OT for the second time in three years with Northeastern recording the series' first golden goal since 2000 at Parsons Field.
BU now leads the series, 21-9-2, dating back to 1984.

NEXT UP: LEHIGH

The Terriers will visit the Mountain Hawks on Saturday (Sept. 28) with a 6 p.m. start time.
Last year, Lehigh triumphed in the 93rd minute at Nickerson Field, 2-1.
Two years ago, senior Mana Chavali and junior Toti Knutsson both scored a goal for a 2-0 victory.
