Boston University women's basketball assistant coach Darren Bennett was the guest in the latest edition of Coffee with Coaches.
Bennett is entering his third season on staff as BU its coming off its best Patriot League regular season finish in its history during the 2019-20 season. The Terriers finished conference play with a 12-6 record and a second-place regular season finish in league standings. Working primarily with the guards, Bennett guided Maggie Pina to earn Patriot League Rookie of the Year honors while Katie Nelson earned All-Patriot League Second Team status.
Prior to arriving in Boston, Bennett was the head coach at Skidmore College for 14 seasons, where he led the Thoroughbreds to a 193-166 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances. The first six years of his career were spent at the Division I level, making stops at Michigan State, Syracuse and Temple.
