
Terriers to Host David Hemery Invite on Fri. & Sat.

BOSTON - The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams will continue their indoor season when they host the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the BU Track and Tennis Center. The women's competition will be held on Friday with running events starting at 11 a.m. while the men will compete on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
The Terriers will once again compete against a very large and talented field made up of approximately 5,000 athletes representing more than 100 teams including hundreds of post-collegiate athletes. For a full list of accepted entries click HERE
This weekend's competition will be the final meet for the Terriers before the Patriot League Championship which will hosted by Lehigh on Feb. 29 to March 1.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Terriers enjoyed a week off after hosting the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational at the TTC on February 1st.
- On the women's side, Freshman Joceline Wind finished the 1000m run with an incredible time of 2:47.62, just missing the BU school record of 2:47.40, set by Donna Adomoli way back in 1987. Wind's time is the fastest 1000m run in the PL this season.
- Freshman Sophia Jacobs-Townsley finished the 3000m run in a time of 9:48.00, which is the fastest 3000m run in the PL this year.
- On the men's side, senior Paul Luevano competed in the 800m run and finished with an excellent time of 1:51.69, a personal best and third fastest in the PL this season.
- Marcel Aubry took seventh in the 1000m run with a time of 2:25.62, a new personal best and second best in the PL this season.
- Following this weekend's competition, the track & field teams will have a week off before traveling to Bethlehem, Penn. to compete at the Patriot League Championship hosted by Lehigh on Feb. 29 to Match 1.
